Hi, I'm using Seagate Info 7.5 on a Windows NT 4.0 network. The problem I have is that when I connect to the APS from my PC, the time in the status bar is correct (ie: it matches my local PC's time) but the time in Seagate Desktop scheduled instances is different. I've checked that my PC has the same timezone settings as the APS but this problem persists. Can anyone assist me or point me in the direction of some helpful documentation?

Thanks,

Peter

The time in the Seagate Info Desktop status bar simply reflects your own time, which is why it matches. The reason that the instances have a different time is because the system time on the APS server is not in synch with the rest of the network.

Contact your Network administrator to reset/synch up the system time.

Hope this helps:)

Hi,

Thanks for the tip. The time has been synch'd but still having problems. I should note that when I say the time is different, I'm talking hours, not minutes.

As to the staus bar, I'm not sure about your comments. If I change my TZ variable, my local time stays the same but the time in the status bar changes, as does the time according to the APS report instances.

I should point out that it's only my PC that seems to be having this problem, and even though I've made changes to my PC matching the others, it still persists,

Cheers,

Pete
