problem with cut and paste in Word

I have a user who is amending an internal telephone directory. Every time she cuts some details from one page to another though, half the page she has cut the info from seems to vanish?

I assume that it must be the way something is et up, but I have no idea where to look for the answer to this.

Sorry. Does it disappear from the target doc or the source doc? And she is cutting it? Not copying?

She is cutting and pasting within the source document.

Still, some info missing. Where is the problem exactly. Does it paste Ok? Is the problem in the Target area? In the source area? When half of the stuff is missing does it need to stay somewhere, move somewhere?

Please give an illustration.
