Problem with CS and Targa files

I came accross this problem at work. I just upgraded to CS and I went to open a previously saved TARGA file and to my dismay it did not hold the transparency .

I then reinstalled 7.0 and it viewed they perfectly????

Does anyone know what the deal is?

there were 2 different versions of the tga plugin release in v7. the first, in 7.0 changed the way tga's in v6 were saved because the plugin was not correctly implimenting the tga spec, causing designers to scream. they went back to the old style (v6) plug in with the update to 7.01. You can use either version in cs simply by moving it to the plugins/file formats folder.
