Problem with creating mysites

I have a question hopefully you have a clue.

At a customer site there is a problem that users can no longer create mysites and receive an error: "There has been an error creating the personal site. Contact your site administrator for more information."

The MOSS farm has been updated until Infrastructure Update. I found kb937207 on the internet and requested the hotfix but this can only be applied to MOSS before SP1 is installed. But SP1 or UI did not solve the issue.

have you checked the application logs on the servers in the farm to see if any errors are coming through regarding the creation of the mysites?
