problem with contacts in all public folders

We have a user claiming that fax number in most of her contacts are missing. The contacts that do have fax number do not have email address. She said they were fully populated with email addresses and fax numbers. She said no one has gone in and deleted anything. There are only 3 regular users with permission to these contacts. No one else with contacts under all public folders seems to be having this problem. These contacts are stored the public information store on exchange 5.5 SP3. They see it under All Public Folders in Outlook 2000. No work on the server side has been done and if so how could only fax number or email address be deleted. All other information such as name, company, address are present.

We have hundreds of project listed under all public folders and no one else has brough this to my attention. Also from browsing random contacts in my outlook every other project contacts seem to be fine with email address and fax numbers.
