problem with cognos scheduler

hi
i need help (please)
I use impromptu and cognos scheduler to run batch jobs.
these i set to run before work begins.
the problem i have is it will run 20 jobs then any remaining in a list will produce an error.
leaving lots of open windows in the tool bar
if i close these impromptu windows down then jobs start working again.
i have looked in the cognos and impromptu .ini files but no luck.
does anyone know how i can fix it

Is Impromptu opening multiple instances within Windows? If so you are running out of resources. in a command window, type ImpAdmin (or Impuser) with a /si after the exe call. This will set Impromptu to run in 'single instance' mode. Calls to run Impromptu will reuse the existing instance, rather than create a new one.

This could fix your problem.
