Problem with Cisco Catalyst 5500

I have a 5500 switch that's been running without a hitch for several years. It originally had a Sup II, a FDDI card, 4 WS-X5225R 24 port ethernets and a WS-X5013 10mb 24 port card.

I recently added several more 24 port ethernet cards. Any and all of the cards work fine in slots 3 - 9; however, any of the modules in slots 10 - 12 come up faulty.

Any suggestions on where to look?

can you open a TAC? have you tried a working sup card in slots 10-12?

This switch isn't on support, so can't open a TAC; however, I'll try a SUP in those slots.

You need a SupIII to use the Bus that slots 10-12 are on.

Oh, and the Sup only works in Slot 1 (or Slot 2 for a 2nd Sup) on 5500s.
