When I set up a phone to Call Forward Externally from the unit it works perfectly unless you dial that extension from the Auto Attendant. I can call the DID of the phone or have someone else answer and Transfer me to the phone and it will forward with no issues. I can set up a CCR Tree in the Call Pilot to call out and that works also, but if I call in and let AA answer and I dial the extension of the phone it will drop the call. I have contacted my carrier to place a trap on a working and a non-working call and they said that on the non-working call the unit was sending a Facility Message and the working call was not. Does anyone have any idea of where I should look for or try?

It is the type of PRI, what is happining is when you dial internal and it forwards out it is sending the BTN or the OLI of lines on the system and the CO sees it as one of your lines so the call completes, when a caller calls in and gets forwarded out it is sending the CLID of the caller and the CO rejects it. You can use the mointor and see this.
It is the CO and they would have to solve it on there side.
If your lucky to get someone that knows about this problem.

cook, I'm thinking the same thing but why is it working if you don't go direct from AA?

Because when you call internal to an extension it's not a transfered call to the extension so only the forwared phones OLI is sent but on a transfered call the callers CLID is sent on the this type of circuit.

They said that they can call in and go to someone else and have them Transfer to the phone and it works. Must be that when AA does the transfer direct to the phone the system acts different than when a phone does the Transfer.

"I can call the DID of the phone or have someone else answer and Transfer me to the phone and it will forward with no issues.

Nortel voice mails unlike NEC as an example does not do a release Transfer, it holds on to the call untill answered where when a person answers and does a transfer it is released and out of the hands of the person whom transfered.
