A new Exchange 2010 server with a NetBackup client installed exists in a domain separate from the NetBackup media server.
We can get a successful Windows backup of the server and a backup of the Information Store WITHOUT granular restore technology avaliable, but once we enable GRT we run into problems.
I have NFS installed, but disabled both the NFS client and server from the media server. Only the NFS client service is enabled and started on the mail server. Also on the mail server, we've assigned a user with administrative permissions ONLY in the domain it sits in. A mailbox also exists.
In the event viewer on the mail server, I see a NfsClnt warning stating LDAP failed a request to connect to Active Diretory Domain Services for the windows user assigned to the NetBackup client.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
