Problem with backup filters

I'm running Arcserve v7, on a W2K server. When i go into the modify jobs, and click backups, filter at the top of the screen, it shows the exclude filters I've created. When I click on the filter in the detail section in the lower right corner, it does not list any of the filters. Where do these filters need to be setup to ensure they work properly? Or, what do i need to do to have them reflected by either method?

The filter section at the top is a global filter. In the job detail you can specify filters and this would be for using the windows agent to back up a remote server and it would look at these filters as being local to each machine if using the backup agent. Does this make sense??
