I recently upgraded my Office 2000 Installation to Service Pack 1. Since then I am completely unable to receive attachments that have the .exe extention (amongst others). The MS web-site said that this feature is there to protect users from themselves by prohibiting them from even opening the file.
I work as a corporate developer and I need to be able to receive .exe's w/o having to ask my co-workers to zip them up. I REALLY need to be able to turn off this 'filter'.
I have spoken to our Tech guy in charge of the exchange server, and he said that it is not set up to prohibit these files, but that this filter is resident in the application itself.
Anyone know how I can turn it off without having to COMPLETELY re-install Office 2000? Thought for the day: Beware of Gods who cannot laugh...
