Hi.

I have a very weird problem and I am hoping that someone might have ran into this at some point or simply know what might be causing it.

I am running Persits ASPEmail on Windows 2000 server.

I am testing their Simple.asp script, which simply sends an email to whomever I designate, with a subject and body that I type in.

I get the email, I get the from, and I get the subject. But, I don't get the body message. It's just blank.

Recently, everything was fine. Last week, there was a problem with a corrupt file on the server. (I'm not sure which one, but I don't think it was part of Persits ASPEmail.) Ever since that problem, we have now encountered this problem with our ASP scripts that are trying to send emails. Every ASP script trying to send an email using ASPEmail has the same exact problem (where the body of the message isn't received).

But .. when I use CDOSYS, the body of the message is received fine. The problem seems to be tied somehow to the emails being sent when using ASPEmail.

I desperately need help with this and I'm hoping that someone can tell me what to do, what it might be caused from, etc.

Help?????

Thanks,
Gary

Reinstall the application, it should re-establish any registry settings or corrupt files.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Markdmac,

Well. We already tried that. But, for some weird reason, that didn't fix the issue. :(

Any other thoughts??

I am not familiar with that product. Do they offer tech support or have a forum of their own?

I'd try removing the product before reinstalling.

You may also want to try running RegClean or a similar product.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Mark,

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

I'm kind of dumbfounded myself. :(

I contacted Persits, but they didn't know.

I think it's something within the server, or maybe within the Virus Scan on the server, or something. haha

The server admins don't want to futz too much with the server since they have numerous other things running and they don't want to mess anything else up. So, .. testing things (using a reg clean, etc.) wouldn't make them happy.

But thanks for your comments.

If you have any other thoughts that could cause this, please reply back.
