problem with Access ODBC

I writing an application in delphgi and using MS Access XP as a backend DB. im connecting the DB via an ODBC link. ive got the app connecting tpo the DB fine.

im now testing the app to find i can't connect to the DB more than twice. if i try to do so i get a connection error.

is this an ODBC error or an access error or could it possibly be a error with my app.

any advice would be helpful
