I'm having a problem with Dim in Access 97.

Trying to create a database variable in a
module with the following:

 Dim dbsCurrentDb as Database

This does not want to compile. The closest option
in the popup is DataObject.

Any help appreciated.

Look into Tools/Reference to see if you have a reference to Microsoft DAO Object Library, it may be the missing part...
Mohamed Aly
samara_79@hotmail.com

Mohamed Aly

Thanks for your response. Sorry for my ignorance,
but I'm not sure which Tools/Reference you are referring
to. I do not see this under the Tools menu in Access 97.
Is this a directory/folder outside of Access?

Thanks,
Keith

You can find it under the Tools menu, if you first go to the VB editor in Access 97 and then click on Tools/References, you will find a list of all avaible libraries you can add to your code.

Hope this would help YOU...
Mohamed Aly
samara_79@hotmail.com

Mohamed Aly,

Thanks again. I tried this and it worked great!

-Keith
