Problem with a cascading prompt in 8.2

In COGNOS 8.1, I have a report that has 3 prompts, each cascading. IN other words:

Prompt1
Prompt2 (Cascade Source - Prompt1)
Prompt3 (Cascade source - Prompt2)

All prompts work fine in their current environment (8.1).

When I export this report from 8.1 and import it into our new COGNOS 8.2 environment:

Prompt1 works just fine (it's just a date range prompt).
Prompt2 seems to work fine.
Prompt3 just comes up blank, with nothing to select.

In both environments (8.1 & 8.2) I'm hitting the same data source.
I even tried rebuilding the 3rd prompt in the 8.2 environment and I still have the same issue.

Has anyone come across this problem before? And if so, what did you do to resolve it?

check the prompt syntax. in 8.2 this has change slightly. The syntax has become more strict than in 8.1
