I have a customer with a Merlin Legend 7.0 - they are trying to call a number that is 1-919-768-xxxx. They have the following entries in their disallowed list (976, 1976, 1***976, ***976). The call is getting denied as soon as they dial 919-76 as the disallowed list is picking up the dial string of 976 in the number.

I added 919-768 as a specific route in ARS, added 919-768 to an allowed list and added 919-768 to a system speed dial, non of which would over-ride the disallowed list.

I removed one entry at a time on the disallowed list and had them try the call. They all deny the call as soon as the 6 is dialed in the dial string. All entries had to be removed from the disallowed list in order to allow this specific number of 919-768 to go through.

Any ideas on how to over-ride the 976 entry in my disallowed list so they can still call these numbers, but not be allowed to call the expensive 976 lines?

You're missing something. Did you do an entire printout of the Disallowed List table? Could you post it please?

Another way to do this is to remove your test extension from the DisallowTo list.

it looks to me that the ***976 matches the number delete it and try it, if it works then create the local area code(s) with the 976 behind it then you should be good to go, all other area codes would require long distance calling with 1
