Problem while configuring SOP/Information Structure

Have two q's.
1. While configuring the Basic settings for material ledger under product costing, I am not able to define calculation bases for overhead calculation. IDES kicks me out of SAP when I try to do this. Why?
2. In SOP, when I try to configure Information Structure , the System says that Table PFAM is not there or unavailable. My system admin says it is the IDES. I have bought remote access form somebody. Can you suggest any solution Please.
