I have a t1 (actually a point to point circuit) that travels between my location and my off hours answer service (geographically located across the street. The CSU on this circuit has failed a few times this week. When this happens, my calls are going to a number in New York...this is a problem as I am in Boston and have no idea who is on the other end in NY!! The seller of dialtone is telling me the programming must be in my PBX to send the call to NY.....I cannot find it anywhere. I do not have a maintenance agreement and need to find that and get it out as it is a potential lawsuit if this happens again due to the nature of my business (healthcare) can someone please help me by telling me where I should be looking for this in my Mitel SX2000?? As always, thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have either an ARS entry or forwarding (rerouting) set.

Check your ARS to see if there is a second route programmed for the destination served by the T-1. If there is, remove it.

There may be call rerouting set for the destination depending on the digits dialled. Look in your call rerouting tables for a speed dial that might be the New York number. If so remove it.

30 years and it's still true.....NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

thanks I will look in both places....i'll respond how I make out ( :
