When i am importing a foxpro table, linked by ODBC, i have a problem with date field.

The definition in foxpro is standard date. Fiels is sometimes empty.

While importing the record is refused with the error "insert error, column nn ('fieldname', DBTYPE-DBTIMESTAMP), status 6: Data overflow.

So, i have to import foxpro tables while using the ODBS foxpro driver. I want to do that with a DTS. On with way i can import a date file without an error!

Thanks you when you responding my question

What is the data type of the field you are inserting into? Is is DateTime or SmallDateTime? It sounds like the FoxPro date is requring a larger date field.

If this doesn't help, try importing the data with an ActiveX script and casting the field as a date CDate(date_ field). If the field is sometimes blank, you will want to test for that with ISNULL(date_field) and set the value to NULL in the database (IF NULLABLE) or some default value, possibly 0 if not NULLABLE.

Good luck!
