Good afternoon. Two days ago I got notification of a critical Windows Update -- .NET Framework 1.1 SP1. Successfully downloaded and installed the 10+ MB update. Now, instead of getting the old Welcome Screen log-on with user name and photo, I'm getting the Classic log-on Prompt asking for user name and password. In addition, it says the computer is locked and I must type in name and password. If I just click "O.K" and don't insert anything I can still go on and use the computer.

If I click into Control Panel>User Accounts, it still shows the Welcome Screen checked as well as the Fast Access box. I have gone to KB #867460 and reviewed the long list of fixes but none do the trick.

Has anyone else (1) run into this situation with their download and (2) corrected the situation (i.e. gotten the Welcome Screen log-on back on)?
