I have set up a server and created a domain.
The XP computers that i have connect fine to the domain.
Vista will not.
This is the error that im getting:

An attempt to resolve the DNS name of the DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please vertify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain.

Please would you be able to advise me to fix the problem.

Thanks for your help,

teci

Is your IP set by the server or by router or manually in the tcp/ip settings?

If it is manually set make sure that the DNS is set to the right DNS and you might want to configure WINs as well for that computer.

ARe you able to ping the server by it's name or by it's IP?
