Problem viewing Excel from Access

Hi... I have a button on the main menu of a little mdb i wrote that opens up a xls spreadsheet from my C: drive. The problem is that you hit the button, the file seems to open up, the excel buttons and taskbar appear but in the main window where I'd normally see the datagrid, I can still see the main menu of my database?! I am using the hyperlink property to link the button to the spreadsheet.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.
