Problem viewing actuate reports in netscape

Hi ,
i have a problem with actuate rep in netscape.
in IE i am passing the URL with paramname="William &*"
but when i do that in netscape it is showing error.
bcos since the space is there in between, the URL is broken in netscape and it is not so in IE.
pls help me how to handle this problem.
when the url is decoded in the actuate server, can i change the decoding of space to "+"
pls help me
