Hello All,
Im kinda new to fireworks and Im trying to make an image that has a transparent background. for example I made a canvas size of 60x60 transparent. I then made a graphic on top of the canvas that is round. When I save and uploads the image to the web site I see that the transparent layer is now light blue. I want a clear background. The image looks fine when I view it in Fireworks. What am I missing? Here is a link to show you what I mean

This sounds like optimization of the image on export.
Do you have it set to retain the transparency?
Check what the properties of your background are set at, it sounds to me like it is GIF but too low; set it at gif optimized 256 or at least 216 and see if that makes a difference. Having it on GIF 128 would create the blue cast that you describe.

I am woman, watch me code.

I never exported it. I used it in a png file format. Is that why Im having the problem?

instead of using file / save - use file / export - this will create the image files / html pages for use on your site

to optimise graphics - even png - you will need to select window - optimise

and in the drop down menu on the right - choose index ./ alpha transparency before you export.

good luck
