problem using targets to change content

Hello,

I am a relatively new person to flash, and am building my first entire site in flash. The version I am using is Flash 8.

This is what I have done so far:

I am having problems changing the content of a page based on clicking on a menu button. The menu is currently in a movie clip on the main timeline. The home page text is on the main timeline.

The home page loads showing the home page content. Then I want to be able to click on the products button on the menu to have the text and 1 image change, but have everything else stay the same. I need this to be in the same flash file and not change pages.

I tried using targets and "gotoandplay" to focus on a frame with the required content, but when the timeline gets to that frame the products content shows over the home page content.

I tried placing the products content on a frame after the home page content,but doing that puts it on a frame after all the menu etc (where there is a stop action), so nothing else but the content is displayed on the page.

Any ideas or any examples anyone can point me to look at to solve this problem?
