Problem using search on an email 1

Hi There,
I have been trying to use the search utility on a particular Lotus notes email which is located locally in a notes database on a laptop.

When i try to search for a particular piece of data on the email it gives me no results.

However if i copy the email to a different database I am able to search through the file and locate the data I am looking for.

This leads me to believe that the database on the laptop in corrupted in some way or needs re-indexing. Is there a way I can re-index this database or repair it?

Use the database Properties panel and choose the next to last tab (with the magnifying glass). You can delete the index and re-create it from there.
Hopefully that will resolve the search issues.
