Can I run an mde (access 2000) file under access2002? without getting jet errors particularly error 2501. This is my current predicament. I wonder whether someone can point me in the right direction.
My current database will run flawlessly under access 2000 the moment you try to run it under access 2002 you are inviting nothing but trouble. This however does not occur if the database is in mdb format.

Thank you for your help

301: Iis my experience that if you take a 2000 database over to 2002 best to use an MDE file (although in your case you're using an MDB file). Under 2002 a 2000 MDE file runs fine since it is already compiled. Might double check your dll Library window (go to the code view and look for references).
