Web host does not allow FrontPage automatic forwarding of form results to e-mail address -- cites security concerns.
Their tech forwarded instructions on renaming one of their cgi scripts to do this. I then accessed the document and -- using it as a template, copied a specified tag line from the HTML and inserted it into a specified place within my FrontPage Form page. Not being very HTML savvy, I located a tag line that "appeared" closest to the specified code and replaced the tag. I did this by opening the HTML window from within editor and pasting in the new tag, clicking OK and saving -- when I opened up the HTML window, I could not see the changed tag. I did, however publish it. What happened was the results did not e-mail, nor any longer save to a text file on the web. Also the confirmation window did not pop up after hitting submit button. I think my problem is finding the right tag(s) to replace. Does anyone have familiarity with doing this in Macintosh FrontPage? Thanks.
