I'm getting ready for a Commvault install next week and need to upgrade several servers from 5.2.09 to 5.2.10. I thought we had extended support on all of these, but just found out we don't have it on the first one I'm trying to upgrade. I ftp'd the filesets from IBM support central and when I went to do the upgrade, of course it failed.
(This server does use HACMP)
Now when I issue
lppchk -v
lppchk: The following filesets need to be installed or corrected to bring
the system to a consistent state:

csm.server 1.6.0.0 (not installed; requisite fileset)

So I go back to the web and load these filesets down and again it fails.

I also get this message which I don't understand.

checkrpmprereqs: 2653-389 RPM package tcl* is a prerequisite of csm.server files
et and needs to be installed for the fileset. To install this fileset correctly,
please install the RPM package first and then try installing this fileset again
.
checkrpmprereqs: 2653-389 RPM package tk* is a prerequisite of csm.server filese

unless it is a CSM server you do not need this fileset

what filesets fail because of this pre-req?

it's part of a HACMP cluster. I have resolved this problem though. Thanks

I had to install the rpm pkgs from the aix toolbox cd first, then I was able to update the csm.server fileset
