CR-XI (R2)
MS-SQL 2000
=============

Have a bunch of CR-XI (R2) reports that use MS-SQL ODBC connection to access a MS-SQL 2000 database.

The hardware for the BOE-XI (R2) servers is moving to AIX, so BOBJ suggested that we move to the "DataDirect 5.1 SQLServer Wire Protocol Driver" which is supported under both Windows and AIX.

I have installed the Windows version of the "DataDirect 5.1 SQLServer Wire Protocol Driver" on my laptop - and can create NEW reports using that ODBC connection.

However, when I try to use "Update Datasource Connection" in Crystal to move to the DataDirect on an EXISTING Report I get the following errors -

"DataObject cannot be opened/accessed error"

then

"Unknown database connector error"

As I said, this only happens on UPDATE - not on a new report.

Anyone seen this before...?

Thanks in Advance.
