Problem Updating a Access Record

Hi

I am having a problem updating Access table record from VB. My recordset has only one record selected. After I update my record and I have the recordset.Update command.
I am getting "QUERY TOO COMPLEX" error.I couldn't get any help anywere.
It used to work and now it does not. I heard that there is a patch available(donno whether it is true). I have embedded my sql for recordset to recordset.source and I use adlockoptimistic for locking.
Help please....

I got the same thing if I had more than 64 fields in a table so I had to split it up to 2 separate data controls (or dataenvironments). I had to keep them locked which was a pain.
It is better to have related sub tables and have a smaller main table.
If you find the patch please let me know too
