problem transferring to from one phone 2

hi-
we have a Partner system, 4 lines; 10 extensions; R1.1.1 C01
there are several issues with one specific extension (19)--

19 won't transfer to 11 but does to others.

when 19 is in use, only about 50% of other extensions show the red active light on extension 19.

some extensions can't transfer to 19.

i have deleted mailbox 19 and recreated it with no change in the above issues. i have also swapped phones with a known good one. any help appreciated!!

sounds like a bad port in the 206 card

I would swap 18 and 19 and see what happens.
 
When you say you can't transfer between extensions, how are you doing it? Do you press "Transfer" and then dial the other extension number? Or are you using one-touch Auto Intercom buttons on the phones? If the latter, make sure that the buttons are really programmed like they are labeled. Many times, the "intercom" button is missed when programming an auto-intercom button, so those phones that have a button for Intercom-19 may really have an outside speed dial for "19" instead. And on Ext. 19 the button for Ext. 11 may not be right.

sounds like the buttons may not be progamed correctly on the phones that dont light for 19

to check go to ext 10 or 11 with a display phone plugged in do feature 00 left intercom button , left intercom button . right intercom button it will ask what ext number ,

enter 19

press the key that should corespond to 11

if it is not programed correctly

press intercom 11 (or *11 for handsfree)

press the right intercom buttom again

enter the extension number of a extesnsion that dose not light for 19 press the button for 19 and see what it says

ect ect

AHA!! you folks solved my problem! excellent.

it was simply that the phone extensions were not programmed properly. i went thru each intercom number/user and checked the associations. there was several blank entries for several extensions and i know this has been plaguing people for a long time.
