problem to start console

I try to start my admin console but I got this message
" ./start-admin
AdmInit: Failed to get configuration parameters (pset error = Entry does not exist)
Exit
"
Before this I am trying to do importing directory data which is failed too. I used
# ./ldif2db -i file_name

Please help me , My Directory server is down. thanks
