I've just rebuilt a new laptop on the home network that can't send e:mail now via outlook express (receives ok)
PC Config. XP SP2, latest MS updates, Norton 2005 antivirus, microsoft beta adblocker)... all via linksys router (no NAT)
I've tried the first steps of telnet to the mail server (mail.alphalink.com.au 25) on port 25 but am unable to get a connection.
My other XP home PC will telnet fine (on port 25 - same software config)...
I've just rebooted the laptop in same mode (to bypass Norton Antivirus 2005, microsoft beta adblocker) and still the same problem. The laptop can ping the IP address ok...
Any suggestions?
