Problem starting replication

Can anyone help with this problem

I've setup replication using Mysql 4.1.10 Standard edition on Suse Enterprise Server 9. The slave server connects successfully to the master and both master and slave have the same master_log_pos. Both threads on the slave are running but I never see the updates on the the slave database. I've posted the results of the show slave status below:
