Problem Splitting Up Records from Data Source

The situation is that I have a single table listing all the quote items in our system. Now each of these quote records can either be an "Assembly" or a "Sub-Part". Now I realize that had I designed things differently this problem would not be here but that is post-sight.

What I want on my report is that it take the "Assembly" record from the data source and list it once with it's column headers and such. (I currently have it in the report header to utilize the fact that the header will only use the first record in the recordset source.)

Now in the detail section I want to list the remaining items from the data source which are all the "Sub-Parts" of the above "Assembly". I placed the column header labels in the bottom of the header and placed the fields to list under them in the detail section. My problem is that it lists the "Assembly" quote item at the top of this list as well. Is there any way to make the report skip the first record in the detail section?

Would really like to have the report set up this way because the Assembly quote has different information to display with it then the Sub-Parts do. By splitting them up I can put one function call in the header to gather the information for the assembly and completely other function calls to retrieve the information for the sub-parts.

I have some alternative routes but this one is my favorite and would really appreciate any help I could get on doing this.
