Hi,
I'm having problems setting up wireless internet. I have a MN-730 microsoft wireless PCI card, and a linksys BEFW11S4 router, both are 802.11b compatible. The router is completely set up (ethernet works on all computers connected). I installed the wireless card and it detects the router name "linksys" and offers that I connect to it... problem is, when I hit connect, it just keeps looping that "One or more wireless networks are available".

I set up a WEP key through the router configuration page, and went through the Microsoft setup wizard for the card, when it came to entering the Network access key, the 128 hex code that mirrors the one in the linksys router page comes up as invalid. I've tried about 10 different codes, and none of them seem to work.

Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

You also need to have the correct SSID entered in the card's setup to match what's set in the router. Make sure you're not restricting connections by MAC or IP addresses on the router side.

For added security, also disable the "broadcast SSID" option on the router.

If all else fails, disable all security settings for wireless to allow any connection. Once you get that going, then take it one step at a time to enable security.
