Hello,

I am trying to have a for much like this one send the content of the textarea's to my report which is a method for printing hard copies of our forms. But, when a large string is sent (such as a few paragraph's from a textarea)the report doesn't load to the browser. Instead it basically stops doing anything. What is the limit of characters of a string you can send to a report and how can i avert this problem? Or could it be a problem with our server? Thanks

David

If you are passing to a formula field, the limit is 255 characters.

You might be able to pass it to the text property of a text object, as opposed to a formula. This would require using the RDC. I haven't tested passing like this, but text objects in CR don't have the 255 limit that you have on the output of a formula.

Or you can parse it into smaller pieces and use several formulas. Ken Hamady
