Hello

I have a CWO installation of Outlook 2000 connecting to internet mail.

When I try to select a contact to send a email to I get two entries in the "TO" box one is the contact's email address and the other (separate) one is the contacts FAX number.

I have not got any FAX services installed how can I stop the FAX numbers from being selected?

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Not sure you can - at least I haven't found a way (although there might be one out there).

We advise our users not to categorise the Fax number as Fax (Business Fax, Other Fax, etc) but instead to enter the Fax number in contacts under one of the other categories (eg Business 2) etc.

The fax number for the contact does not then show up in the email address list when wanting to send them an email.

Not ideal but a workaround that does work for this problem.

Just a suggestion.

If you find a better alternative, let us know.

Good luck.

Thanks for that Fagan

I suppose we should not really be using the CWO install to connect to internet mail, but if I use IMO I can not have multiple accounts on a single computer.

There are always problems!!

Cheers
