Hello;
I need a bit of help saving a Corel drawing as a DXF file. I find it easy to use Corel Draw, but hard to use AutoCad, and my office typically uses AutoCad. I intend to "cheat" a bit by drawing in Corel, then allowing others to open my DXF files in AutoCad, if possible.
And here's the odd part: I'm using Corel Version 9.531, and I do recall saving or exporting drawings as DXF files many times before. Then I would open them in AutoCad LT 2005. It didn't like filled objects or partially transparent objects, but basically it worked. In some cases I had to get rid of the filled or transparent objects, then it would always convert to DXF and open smoothly in AutoCad.
Now, however, when I try to save or export a dwg as a dxf, I can't do it. The choice doesn't even exist on the drop down menu. So, why did I do it before, but can't now? Are there any other tricks to convert a Corel drawing to DXF format so I can open them in AutoCad LT 2005?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tom Kay, Ottawa Canada.
