problem saving data in variable

Hi,
I am trying to save data which is retrived from switch as below:
8000000c: ec48fc59 ec6afc7b 00fa8cfc 4dfcaefc H Y j {
but is saved in variable and printed as "
\r\n8000000c:\ ec48fc59\ ec6afc7b\ 00fa8cfc\ 4dfcaefc\ \ \ \ \ H\ Y\ j\ \{\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
"
My question is why this is saved in different format and how can i saved it in its original format.
