hello,

I am having difficulty saving an image in photoshop.
The image is meant to be saved as a .gif and then brought into dreamweaver and used as a table background. The image is a simple square, created with the rounded rectangle tool with a radius of 5 px.

My problem is that when i save the image and import it to dreamweaver, it becomes distorted in a way that the "rounded" rectangle is no longer rounded. It becomes straight and hard whereas it should be smooth and round.

My assumption of what is causing this is the way that i am saving the file. I am using the "save for web" option with the default .gif settings. Also i am saving the image with image quality at it's maximum.

Please help!

Your problem is that you're using it for backgroun on a table or cell. Fremweaver will fill the whole cell or table since the cells don't have roung edges.

Put the rouded end thing on top a squre edged thing in PS. You can fill the square edge with a color that matched the page badkground in Dreamweaver or make it transparent. Center things up, flatten, save the gif and use that. The rounded edges will then show.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
