using windows NT and Microsoft IIS I cannot get frontpage 2002 extensions to work.

If i go to the 'default web site', 'task' and 'check 2002 extensions' no apparent problems are identified.

The only clue might be that right clicking the
computer icon above the 'default web site' to again check the Server Extensions yields the message:
"The server administration program and the server extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with this server."

can anyone help?

Tiffany,
In the Management Console I see:

Console Root:
Internet Information Server:
*our_intranet
*Default Web Site
...

The line *Our_intranet has a pc icon rather than a
folder type icon beside it. If i right click the 'default web site' and then 'task' and 'check 2002 extensions' no apparent problems are identified.

doing the same on '*our_intranet'
yields:
"The server administration program and the server extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with this server."

is that clear?
thanks

For the 2002 server extensions the administration for them should be located in the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Microsoft SharePoint Administrator - which is a web based admin, rather then the previous version FPMMC or Console Root.

Tiffany,
well i thought i had got there.
I get some usage analysis features which were previously unavailable.
However, why does the hit counter not work?, i thought
this would be an easy test (if a bit useless)
but when i publish the page the counter is not appearing?
any ideas?
is my fp ext installation incomplete?
thanks
chris.
