PROBLEM:Right-click is causing photoshop/laptop to freeze completely.

Ever since I uninstalled CS9 and reinstalled ps7, when I open an image and use the crop tool and right-click to drag, it freeze photoshop and my laptop completely (as in only way to do anything is to hit the power button), and if I right-click on the layers display panel it will freeze everything. I've tried clearing registry of all previous photoshop related items and reinstalled numerous times but it's still doing this and I have no clue how to fix it. If anyone knows please help me ! OS: Windows 2K Pro SP4

If you have a 3rd party mouse software installed uninstall it and reboot.
