problem retrieving autoarchived messages

Hi All,

A user used autoarchive to archive his messages in outlook 2003 on a different computer. He is now using another computer and wants to retrieve a particular message that was autoarchived . I did explained to him that the message wiil have to be retrieved from the first pc.
But the problem again is he wants to retrieve some recent messages from autoarchive on the new pc. I tried to retrieve it by:
File-->open-->outlook data file. Clicked on the archive folder ,ok.But the Archive folder was showing up as empty
Is there any other way around this ? What is the best way to copy the archive folder from the old computer to the new computer?

Outlook 2003 is running in cached mode with Exchange server 2003.

First of all are you sure you are selecting the correct pst file. I had a similar issue with a user and I searched for pst files and found more than one. Hope this helps some!

did you check the location of the PST file where autoarchive writes to?

Thanks guys for your input. I eventually had to to import the personal folder back into the inbox on the old computer, and then opened it on the new computer.
