Hi,

I have a new dual Xeon/2 GB (nVidia QuadroFX 500 128MB video card) system and am having repeated error messages:

After Effects error:
retreiving from video stream (3)
(53::34)

This happens when I am doing nothing more than keying (Keylight) a short video clip in front of a static background.

Then when I close the error window and try to continue, I get the same message again. After persisting in my efforts, I get this message:

AE can't continue:
Sorry, an abnormal condition
has been detected (2)
(0::42)

Any ideas? Thanks for any help. (I didn't have these problems with my old system (Athlon 1.4 GHZ) and AE 5.5...)

Sounds like a problem with the clip. Do you have the problem if you try using a different source clip? How about using the same clip with a different keyer?

Hi,

The problem happened with various clips (clips which played fine on the Premiere timeline). I found that many people have had trouble with openGL in AE. I removed the openGL plugin from the AE plugin folder and now I haven't had this problem since (although I haven't done much in AE recently...)
