Hello There,
I am currently running Arcserve 6.6 on a Novell 5.1 server. The server has two mirrored hard drives called sys which contain the operating system and 3 Raid 5 hard disks containing data.
When I backup a couple of files from sys and a couple from vol1 within the same job I am able to restore these files OK after the job has completed successfully. But if I backup a couple of files from sys and the whole of Vol1 then I receive the following error message when I try to restore from vol1:
E1031 failed to locate session (media:backup1 session2,REQ=2 actual=0), No data detected.
I am able to restore from sys and the data is fitting onto one 12GB tape. The job schedule log indicates that the backup has completed successfully and lists the amount of files etc. that have been backed up. What is causing the above error message?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave Walker
