I'm trying to restore an outlook PST file, but it's restoring as a zero-byte file. The correct size is displayed in the Networker client when locating the file to restore.

Is there anything I can do with this, or is it, as I suspect, not really backed up as the file was in use?

Seems odd that it would show the correct file size if it was not backed up though.

Sorry if I seem a little dense here, but how would I go about scanning for that file?

I read through the man pages for both mminfo and scanner, but didn't see anything relevant.

Hi,

First find the SSID looking at "mminfo -av -t <savetime>" with the specific save ime of the PST file .

Then load the rellevant volume into the drive and go:

scanner -S <SSID> -pv /dev/rmtx

Check for any errors during scanning, that would point to media problems.

After the scanner try retriving the file again - if comes with "0" size - that this is the way it was written. "Long live king Moshiach !"
