I have a Mitel SX200 MX running SX-200_ICP_3.1.0.11. I am trying to register some mitel 5220 IP phones. These phone I am having a problem with have either never been used or havn't been used in years. They are unregistred as are asking "USE Superkey to SEND PIN". I got one registered, but not the others. The extensions I am trying to use have been used before but I believe have been deleted.

If I try to register from the phone, it does nothing. Just shows the same "USE Superkey to SEND PIN" message. I tried going into "Destop Device Assignments" screen and trying "Program Like". I entered an existing extension and then the new extension I want. And I get the message "Station/SUPERSET moved to is already defined". But if I search for that extension it is not found. It is also not found if I search for it in the "Global Find Access Code" screen.

What do I need to do to get these phone registered?

Use the phone replacement registration code.

I forgot to mention. I tried the replacement code. It didn't do anything either.

You need a valid extension in the system. Then you should be able to register. For existing phones use the set replacement code as suggested by kwbMitel.

Ah, got it. I renumbered an existing but unused extension to the target extension. Then I could use the replacement code on the phone. It's now working.

In form 9, when viewing an IP set, you have an option to SHOW CESID under menu option 9

After selecting SHOW CESID, you will have an option to SHOW MAC

Any set with MAC 000000000000 is unregistered and can be registered using the registration FAC

Any other value, usually 08000f??????, requires the replacement code
