problem re-installing Oracle 8

I did a mistake on my initial installation of oracle 8. I removed it and reinstalled it again. After launching oracle and typing in my user name and password, it comes back with a TNS error. It says Oracle - 12537: TNS: Connection closed

I need help please

Please check your net8 config file.Peahaps you must reopen
your tns_linstener
